"Climategate Professor Considered Suicide

Phil Jones, the scientist whose e-mails were hacked and published appearing to show that he wanted colleagues to destroy data, says he thought of killing himself "several times." Jones says he wasn't ready for the scandal when it erupted. "I am just a scientist," he said. "I have no training in PR or dealing with crises." Jones said he still gets death threats from around the world, including two over the past week. "People said I should go and kill myself. They said that they knew where I lived."
